ESPN ranks Chicago Bears roster among worst in NFL |
Chicago Bears fans are excited for the 2023 season as Justin Fields has some new weapons at his disposal and the defense has been retooled with some veteran free agents.
However, ESPN is not sold on the Bears roster as of yet, as analyst Mike Clay has ranked the Bears roster among the 10 worst in the league right now. The Bears are currently ranked 22nd, with their offense earning a middle-of-the-pack ranking at No. 16. However, it is the defense that weighs them down at No. 29. As much as Bears fans may be frustrated by this ranking, it is fair, given the team's performance last season. The Bears' roster will continue to evolve this offseason, and they have some promising opportunities to do so. Chicago has the No. 9 pick in the 2023 NFL draft and plenty of salary cap space. With these resources at their disposal, the Bears can make significant additions to their roster, possibly improving their ranking for the upcoming season. In the end, the Bears' ranking serves as a reminder that there is still work to be done to prove the doubters wrong. Here is the complete first run of 2023 NFL Unit Grades!
