Bulls News: Justin Fields injury update

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Bears have been must-see TV after the arrival of QB1 Justin Fields.

Fields led the Bears to an impressive road win against the Raiders on Sunday.

He missed two plays because of an injury during the contest but was able to finish out the game.

"I knew I hyperextended it (knee)," Fields said after the game. "I was just trying to see if I could get up, and I was just able to walk off the field, and then after a while, I could start feeling my strength getting back, so I was just trying to see how stable it was and seeing if I could run on it."

Fields finished the game going 12-for-20, passing for 111 yards and a passing touchdown.

Bears head coach Matt Nagy was impressed by Fields' toughness after Sunday's game.

“His toughness was great, it was awesome,” he said. “So that’s all. That’s the No. 1 thing I’m taking out of this, is his toughness.”

On Monday, Fields underwent a few tests, and reportedly everything is OK, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

"Bears QB Justin Fields underwent tests today on the left knee he hyperextended Sunday, and sources say he should be good to go," he tweeted.

This is great news for Bears fans as Fields will get his first taste of the rivalry matchup with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon.
