Bears make several roster moves

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Bears announced on Saturday that they have made several roster moves ahead of Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Inside linebacker Danny Trevathan was activated off of injured reserve.

Trevathan has missed the first four games of the season because of a knee injury.

Standout running back David Montgomery has been placed on injured reserve because of the knee sprain that he suffered in the win against the Lions last Sunday.

He will be eligible to return to the active roster after he sits out three games because of the IL designation.

Running back Ryan Nall was flexed from the practice squad to give more depth at running back with the absence of Montgomery.

A piece of unfortunate injury news, veteran leader Akiem Hicks didn't travel with the team and is out with his groin injury that he suffered last weekend against the Lions.

Hicks being out of the game is tough news but next man up will be the mentality as the Bears defense will go against a talented Raiders offense on Sunday.
