Bulls News: Report: Rondon to be activated and 4 players promoted |
The Chicago Cubs today activated right-handed pitcher Hector Rondon from the 15-day disabled list, recalled right-handed pitcher Spencer Patton, outfielder Albert Almora Jr. and infielder Munenori Kawasaki from Triple-A Iowa, and selected the contract of catcher Tim Federowicz (uniform number 19) from Iowa.
To make room for Federowicz on the 40-man roster, right-handed pitcher R.J. Alvarez has been designated for assignment. Chicago’s active roster now stands at 34 players. All five players will be available for the Cubs tonight when they continue their three-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park.
