Bears reportedly hold tryouts for four running backs |
The Chicago Bears are in need of more running back depth.
According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Bears hosted four running backs for a tryout at Halas Hall on Monday. "The Bears, who are dealing with depth issues at RB right now, worked out Duke Johnson, Chris Thompson, T.J. Logan, and C.J. Marable," he tweeted. All four backs are interesting players to bring in, but Johnson is certainly the big name out of the group as the 28-year-old has played in 91 games in the NFL mostly with the Cleveland Browns. Marable was in camp with the Bears this summer as he was undrafted out of Coastal Carolina. Starter David Montgomery is currently sitting on the injured list with a knee injury and veteran tailback Damien Williams is out of the lineup testing positive with COVID-19. Until 'Monty' and Williams are back in the fold, look for rookie running back Khalil Herbert to continue to carry the load for the Bears.
