Chicago Cubs rookie third baseman Matt Shaw spoke before the game to provide an update on his recovery from injury, how he keeps a positive mindset through the process and more.

"At this point, I am pretty much fully healed,” Shaw said. “I am getting my legs back under me after being out here two months. I am in a really good spot. I don't have a lot of worries, and I don't think the team has a lot of worries. Now with the position we are in, I am throwing and hitting. I am getting live at-bats. I am really excited about playing in games in the next few days. I am just in a great spot. I have zero anxieties or worries now.”
