Pope Leo XIV, a well-known Chicago White Sox fan, couldn’t resist having a little fun at the Cubs’ expense while greeting a crowd at the Vatican on Wednesday.

When someone in the crowd shouted, “Go Cubs!” — the Pope smiled and fired back, “They lost!”
