If this team were a bit closer to being a contender, I might like this acquisition better but we have soooo many holes to fill. I think for $15 mm we could get a player that would still be with us when we got a bit better.

And younger batters are generally better than older batters, over an MLB career.

I think the Cubs are closer than many people think if they can get a 1-2 frontline starters this offseason.
