I hope your kidding with this column. Good Lord I hope there is no thought of at all going through Theo's mind about keeping DD. That was a horrible decision to sign him in the first place!

The Cubs should cut him and be done with it. I never liked the signing in the first place, as he could never ever hit. If you want leadership than hire another coach, he is a total waste of a roster spot. I would prefer the Cubs to keep Addison Russell rather than Decalso. At least Russell can be a back up shortstop, and he hits as well as or better than Decalso.

He can go through spring training with them and see how he is performing. You have already sent 2.5 million so its probably wise to see how he hitting, etc in a few months and if he still looks bad, cut him.

The roster spots go to 26 from 25 in MLB in 2020 too.
