Roster Move: Bears sign running back Demetric Felton |
Another move to add to the Bears offense for 2024.
The Chicago Bears announced that they have officially signed former Cleveland Browns running back Demetric Felton. The roster spot was available because the Bears recently got an international exemption for rookie punter Tory Taylor. Felton, who will be donning the number 38 jersey for the Bears, brings a career total of 209 yards and two touchdowns to his new team. He spent two seasons with the Browns and had a stint with the Bengals on their practice team. At 26 years old, Felton enters the Bears' roster as a promising addition following his selection as a sixth-round draft pick from UCLA. Felton rushed for 1,101 yards with seven touchdowns and had 99 catches for 958 yards and eight touchdowns at UCLA. With this signing, the Bears' running back group is now at five for training camp. It should be interesting to see how the competition at running back unfolds with all the talent. One reason for this move was that reserve running backs Travis Homer and Ian Wheeler were out of action injured on Saturday.
