DENVER — Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant will be suiting up in his fourth MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday. The 29-year-old slugger, who is in his seventh season as a big leaguer, was one of two North Siders selected to play in the 2021 Midsummer Classic, with Cubs closer Craig Kimbrel getting picked for his eighth All-Star Game. Playing for the National League squad, Bryant will come off the bench, while Kimbrel will be in the bullpen.
Prior to Tuesday's contest at Coors Field, the home of the Colorado Rockies, Bryant and his family attended the All-Star Red Carpet Show. Donning a swanky red suit and snazzy aviator sunglasses, Bryant walked the red carpet with his wife, Jessica, and their infant son, Kyler. Bryant also made time to chat with the media, and the jack-of-all-trades defender revealed that his favorite position to play is center fielder.
