Bulls News: Dusty Baker takes a jab at Rizzo's play

The Chicago Cubs just won a thrilling 2-1 win against the Washington Nationals on Monday night.

Cubs superstar Anthony Rizzo had a go-ahead RBI single that was the difference in the ballgame.

Rizzo was shocked that Nationals manager Dusty Baker decided to pitch to him with the game on the line.

"I'm thinking, 'Don't pitch to me right there,' to be honest. I love this situation with a base open," Rizzo told TBS during a postgame interview.

Rizzo was seen screaming "RESPECT ME! RESPECT ME!" after the game-winning play.

Duster Baker was asked during his postgame press conference about Rizzo 'turning it on' during the playoffs.

"Well, yeah, I guess. I mean, it's not really turning it on when you bloop one in there." Baker said. "So that ball is kind of in never-never land out there, between three merging players on our team. Like I said, you couldn't have thrown the ball any better if he had thrown the ball in there."

Baker didn't give Rizzo any credit but it has to be heartbreaking to him that he had the opportunity to walk the slugger but chose not to.

During the postseason, Rizzo is 3-for-12 with a double, homer and five RBI (out of 8 in the entire series).
