A new QB1 in the Windy City.

On Thursday night, the Chicago Bears selected USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.

Williams is expected to be the face of the Bears franchise and the starting quarterback for the 2024 season. He will wear No. 18 in Chicago.

The Bears are still looking for a quarterback who can throw for 4,000 yards in a single season.

"I believe the culture that they’re building," Williams on why he's hopeful on the future with the Bears. "The culture. The coaches. That’s where it stems from. And then I’d also say that the love and support that the fans have been giving. They’re ready, they’re hungry."

Williams is proud of himself and his support system for getting him to this point in his football career.

"I’m proud of myself," Williams said recently. "I will say that. To be here, in this moment, the dreams and goals I set out, the hard work I put in, and the sacrifices I’ve made – and not only me but my parents and the people around me – has been huge for me. So I'm proud."

He has 120 touchdowns responsible (most in FBS) since 2021 and was the 2022 Heisman Award winner. He transferred from Oklahoma to USC for the 2022 season.

In 2023, he threw for 3,333 yards with 30 TDs and five interceptions and rushed for 142 yards and 11 TDs on 97 attempts.

Overall, in college, he completed 66.9% of his passes for 9,782 yards with 93 touchdowns and 14 interceptions and rushed for 966 yards and 27 TDs on 289 carries.

"I want to play in one place for 20 years, and chase one guy, No. 12 (Tom Brady)," Williams said recently during a podcast. "I want a place that loves ball. That's all I've heard about Chicago so far, which is exciting for me."

This was the first time that the Bears had the No. 1 pick since 1947.
