Bulls News: Rome Odunze injured his knee against Titans |
Not good news for a promising offense trying to get it going.
Chicago Bears rookie receiver Rome Odunze was injured during a blocking play in the fourth quarter during Sunday's comeback 24-17 win against the Tennessee Titans. Head coach Matt Eberflus announced that the team is "concerned" about the injury and will have an MRI on his knee. I don’t have enough information yet,” Eberflus said Monday at Halas Hall. “We’ll see on Wednesday.” He had a catch for 11 yards on four targets during his first NFL regular season game. He played in 77 percent of the offensive snaps. The Bears drafted Odunze when he fell to them with the ninth overall pick out of Washington in the 2024 NFL Draft. Sources: The initial belief is that #Bears rookie WR Rome Odunze suffered a Grade 1 knee sprain during Sunday’s win over the #Titans. Velus Jones and a Titans player collide with Rome Odunze and he goes down awkwardly late in the 4th quarter. I would expect this is the play where Odunze was potentially injured. pic.twitter.com/JO6tKdCBD8
Odunze will seek a second opinion, but this is best case scenario for the talented rookie receiver. pic.twitter.com/UGYr6fs24I
